Constitutional Day: 26th November 2018

Constitutional Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, is observed on 26th November every year in India to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. This day holds immense significance in the history of India, as it marks the beginning of a new era of democracy, freedom, and equality. Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Law celebrated Constitutional Day with great fervor and enthusiasm.

The day started with a special assembly, which was attended by the faculty members and students of the college. The assembly began with the hoisting of the Indian flag and the singing of the national anthem. This was followed by a speech by the principal, in which he emphasized the importance of the Indian Constitution and its relevance in today’s times. He spoke about the significance of Constitutional Day and urged the students to strive towards upholding the principles enshrined in the Constitution.

After the principal’s speech, the students of the college gave presentations on various aspects of the Constitution, such as the Preamble, Fundamental Rights, and Directive Principles of State Policy. These presentations were well-researched and informative, and they helped the students gain a deeper understanding of the Constitution.

The highlight of the day was a panel discussion on the topic “Challenges to Democracy in India”. The panel comprised of eminent lawyers, judges, and scholars, who shared their views on the challenges that India faces in upholding its democratic values.
